Vision

The objective was to deliver a heavy-duty process pipe installation within a high-compliance pharmaceutical facility. The scope required clean, safe, and efficient delivery, with minimal disruption to live operations and zero tolerance for fire hazards or contamination risk. KWS was brought in early to support with design feasibility, material specification, and certified support systems - ensuring the project met all health, safety, and regulatory requirements without compromising the construction timeline.

A key part of the vision was implementing Sikla, a non-welded, structural steel support solution that eliminates hot works, enabling faster, cleaner, and safer installs in sensitive environments.

Challenges:

• Strict Cleanroom Standards: The facility demanded immaculate installation with zero tolerance for sparks, dust, or debris-ruling out traditional welded supports.
  
• No On-Site Fabrication Tolerance: Space limitations and risk of disruption meant all systems had to be pre-engineered and delivered install-ready.
  
• Design-to-Delivery Guidance: The client required a consultative partner to assist with product selection, design adjustments, specification validation, and certification.
  
• Mission-Critical Timelines: Delays would impact the facility’s operational continuity, so reliability and just-in-time delivery were non-negotiable.
  
• Certification Requirements: Products used needed to be structurally certified for load-bearing and health/safety compliance, with documentation ready for audit.

Solutions

• Sikla Structural Support System:
  Supplied a non-welded structural steel support solution via Sikla, eliminating the need for hot works on site. This system provided full structural integrity while reducing risk and install time.

  Collaborated with the contractor and engineering team from the design stage to ensure compatibility, resolve bracket layout, and tailor the support system to site-specific needs.
  
• Certification & Compliance Assurance:
  Provided all structural certifications and technical documents post-installation for client handover and regulatory approval.
  
• On-Site Product Guidance:
  Offered pre-installation guidance to ensure safe handling, optimal layout, and correct fitment-avoiding rework and disruption.
  
• Just-in-Time Delivery:
  Delivered the system to match the install sequence, reducing congestion, storage needs, and potential delays.
